Roads are the arteries through which the economy pulses. By linking producers to markets, workers to jobs, students to school, and the sick to hospitals, roads are vital to any development agenda.

Definitely after signing of the Final investment decision by venture partners towards the commercial production of oil by 2025, Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has yet again delivered a complete beautiful critical road from Hoima through Butiaba to Wanseko in order to facilitate oil exploration in the Albertine Graben.

This road will also be an enabler to tourism since it connects to Lake Mburo National park.It is upon this background that we continue to seek government to maintain an independent and sober entity like UNRA mandated to develop and maintain national roads plus solving all national transport concerns if we are to attain our development goals of middle income status and vision 2040.

Apparently the mother ministry may not have the pulse and quick response to manage the ever increasing road network for our country.
