Angella Katatumba partners with Masters Music in new album titled “Masterpiece”

“Masterpiece” is an Album containing 15 Tracks written, mixed and Mastered at Masters Studios with the wonderful team of Producers, Vocal directors, Songwriters who are all young and full of energy.

Sensational musician Angella Katatumba has partnered with Masters Music on her new upcoming music album titled “Masterpiece” as she seeks to yet again take the Ugandan airwaves by storm.

Masterpiece album is a fifteen (15) track album that is primarily centred on the life of Katatumba and features top Ugandan musicians such as Nutty Neithan, and has been produced, and mastered by Masters Music Studios, a top-notch record label located in Ntinda, Kampala.

During the unveiling of the tentative album artwork at the studio headquarters on Monday, August 29, the ‘Tonelabila’ singer noted that the Masterpiece album is by far the most exciting project she has worked on and she can’t just wait for its official launch onto the music store come September 30, 2022.

According to Katatumba, partnering with Masters Records on her new upcoming album with producers such as Lawraid, Skillz On The Beat, WabzDj and so many others was such a blessing as they’re talented and very focused people. Katatumba also applauded the efforts of the songwriters on the project who include; David Makueta, Cieska Lytes, Stephanie Kirabo saying with such a team, the music industry is in safe hands.

“The Album is a body of work containing 15 Tracks written, mixed and Mastered here at Masters records with the wonderful team of Producers, Vocal directors, and Songwriters who are all young and full of energy. I am glad to say that the future of our music industry is in safe hands because its so nice to see a new group of Talented people who are very focused, passionate and love what they do. We Joke around that this is a Big Budget Album achieved in a Guerrilla type of working,” Katatumba said Monday afternoon.

“The songs on this Album all have a personal place in my heart and some do feel very vulnerable, I am very sure that the Angella Katatumba Army is going to love every track and for the new people who discover this album we also hope you enjoy what we have delivered to you,” she added.

The Album according to the producers and the artiste will be made publicly available effective September 30th, 2022 on all Digital music stores and an Album Listening party will be hosted that very day at View Point Hotel Diplomate in Muyenga where Katatumba will perform some of these tracks in a new format of the “Masterpiece” Album.

“The Album Listening/Release party will also be held on September 30th, 2022 at the Viewpoint, Hotel Diplomate. I encourage all of you to attend that event, I believe everyone here will have a ticket. All information about this day will be announced on all social media and the Poster will also be shared soon,” Katatumba noted.

Who is Angella Kakatumba?

Born February 21, 1989, Angella Franklin Keihongani Katatumba is a Ugandan singer, songwriter, philanthropist, diplomat, and businesswoman.
She is the daughter of the Honorary Consul of Pakistan in Uganda, H.E Prof. Boney Mwebesa Katatumba, and Gertrude Katatumba the proprietor AFK Beauty Clinic Kabalagala.

The Ugandan singer has a sister and seven brothers. They include Rosemary, Allan, Dennis, Rugiirwa (Angella’s Twin brother), Colin (late), Ken, Ian, and Jay.

She attended primary school in Uganda at the Katatumba Academy, then onward to Belmont Senior Secondary School in Vancouver, B.C Canada. This is where she obtained a Public Relations Diploma, then went to Oxford Brookes University, England. Here, she got a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Law. She went ahead on to pursue a master’s degree at Oxford Brookes University, England in International Management/Public Relations. From here, Angella moved he moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she worked.

When Angella moved back home to Uganda, she started working as the managing director at her father’s Hotel Diplomaté. Unfortunately, her dad passed away in 2007 and she accepted to become the Acting Honorary Consul of Pakistan in Uganda for two years. Eventually, the President of Pakistan H.E Mamnoon Hussain appointed someone else.

In addition to music, Angella is the founder and Executive Director of Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF), an NGO which spearheads most her of her charitable and COrporate Social Responsbility works.
