Sex worker bonked to death by Kamuli driver

The deceased identifed as one Zam Nangobi was a resident of Namisu-Mawembe village, Kibuye parish, Kagumba sub- county in Kamuli District.

KAMULI, UGANDA: Police in Kamuli district, Busoga region are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a thirty year old sex worker who was found lying lifeless inside a lodge she had booked with a client on Thursday evening.

The deceased identifed as one Zam Nangobi was a resident of Namisu-Mawembe village, Kibuye parish, Kagumba sub- county in Kamuli District.

Sources privy to the matter say on the fateful night, Nangobi had an encounter with a man only identified as Ronald, a driver of a one Hassan.

It is alleged that when Ronald approached Kamuli on Thursday evening, he asked Hassan’s girlfriend, one Joweri to hook him up with a babe for a night, and that’s how Nangobi, a prominent thigh vendor came in the mix, agreeing to the terms and conditions.

At around 09:00pm, Ronald together with, Nangobi, now deceased went to the lodge in the same area where they secured accommodation.

However, at around 01:00 am, Ronald ran to Hassan who was at his girlfriend’s place to inform him that Nangobi had passed on. Immediately, they drove away to a destination yet to be established.

ASP Michael Kasadha, the Busoga North Police Spokesperson confirmed the death of Ms Nangobi and said the body had been taken to KAMULI hospital for a postmortem to be conducted on what exactly killed her.

“The lifeless body of the deceased was found at the scene and taken to Kamuli general hospital mortuary for postmortem,” Kasadha said,

He added that police in the region has launched a manhunt for the Ronald and Hassan who have since disappeared since last night.
