KAMPALA, UGANDA: A yet-to-be-identified street name in Kampala witnessed drama after a middle-aged woman dared to walk half-naked for a bet of shs 800,000, and she indeed won the bet.

While the woman’s identity is yet to be identified, the video that has already gone viral on the internet has attracted social media commentators, with many hailing the lady for her bravery.

“They said she can’t walk like this on street during the day, and she has won a bet worth 800k,” tweeted Fish who posted the Video at the end of last month.

In the video, the lady folds her dress to her chest area, exposing her undergarments and nipples before she struts down a busy street amidst chaos, pandemonium and spectacle.

Boda Boda cyclists are also seen escorting her and they cheer on her while traffic stops to the bemusement of onlookers as the lady walks with pedestrians using their phones to capture footage.

Public reacts

Despite the fact that the lady compromised her dignity, many applauded her for fighting tooth and nail for her economic freedom.

“I like her commitment, zeal and her determination to win this 800k. There’s a good lesson to learn; no matter the situation, determination wins,” another tweep wrote.

Popular tweep Beewol lauded her for showing everyone the middle finger and securing her money.

He also scolded men for acting uncivilized as they had never seen a woman half naked.

Nevertheless, other people condemned the direction people’s moral fiber is taking concluding that for the right price, anyone is willing to do anything in recent times.
