Uganda now has 24 FIFA certified referees, an increase by one on the current list and three new FIFA badge holders

The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has confirmed a list of 24 Ugandan referees certified to hold FIFA badges for the calendar year 2023.

According to a list submitted by FUFA to the world football governing body, the 24 referees include 8 Centre Referees and 10 Assistant Referees for the eleven-aside football. Futsal maintains two slots from this year while Beach Soccer will remain with four slots.

The only increment to 24 comes from the top-tier football in Uganda, a slot that has been taken by Lucky Razaake Kasalirwe. The budding centre referee is one of the three new names on the annual list.
