Julius Bukyana named Victoria University Corporate & Public Affairs Manager

Former NBS TV News Anchor Julius Bukyana has been appointed the Corporate and Public Affairs Manager at Victoria University, the prestigious institution revealed in a Friday, February 3rd grand announcement.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Former NBS TV News Anchor Julius Bukyana has been appointed the Corporate and Public Affairs Manager at Victoria University, the prestigious institution revealed in a Friday, February 3rd grand announcement.

Bukyana who recently contested in the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) elections departed Next Media Services in 2022 having worked at NBS Television for a couple of years in various roles ranging from news anchoring, show host, and producer, among others.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome @bukyanajulius2 to the VU family, Julius is our new corporate and public affairs manager. we toast to this big catch,” Victoria University tweeted on Friday evening.

Victoria University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lawrence Muganga speaking of this ‘big catch’ described Bukyana as a great resource who will be of great value addition, especially to the image of the institution in the public environment.

”As a University, we are destined for greatness with such a resource, welcome to the ‘University of You’ Bukyana Julius. Ladies and Gentlemen, Here is VUKampala Corporate and Public Affairs Manager,” Prof Muganga said in a separate tweet.

On his grand appointment, Bukyana said ”This is a career switch though not far from the media, am to make Victoria University a brand to look out for as I serve. Am going to use my media competencies and connections for a better VU.”

Bukyana holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication, and a Masters Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Nkumba University.
