Boy, 14, arrested for sodomizing 8-year-old in Kampala

Enanga said that the boy who was sodomized was told by the juvenile suspect not to tell anyone what happened and that he would get Lato Milk in return.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Police in Kampala has in custody a 14-year-old boy arrested for allegedly sodomizing an 8-year-old boy, and fellow pupil at a school in Kampala.

According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, the unnatural offence took place at Plato children’s school in Kampala’s Bukuto zone, Nakawa division

Enanga said that the boy who was sodomized was told by the juvenile suspect not to tell anyone what happened and that he would get Lato Milk in return.

“The 14-year-old male juvenile convinced this young victim, took him to the dormitory, caused him to remove his trouser, forced him to bend over, and started sodomising him under those circumstances,” said Enanga while addressing journalists at police headquarters on Monday.

He further urged schools to be cautious and hire more security guards to keep an eye on and protect children while they are at school and in any other isolated area of the school building.

The development at a time when reports in various newspaper and media outlets have been filled with cases of homosexuality and lesbianism in schools countrywide, the recent case being the deputy headteacher of PMM Girls School in Jinja who was arrested and remanded with her alleged female lover for engaging in acts of unnatural sexuality and recruiting girls into the vice.
