Wife chops off husbands genitals in domestic fight, kills him

According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, “facts gathered indicate that on Sunday, March 26, Baluku returned home, while drunk and started fighting his wife, whom he always accused of having extra marital affairs.”

KAMPALA, UGANDA: The Territorial Police at Katwe Division have arrested one Joy Biira for cutting off her husband’s genitals causing his eventual death in a case of aggravated violence.

The deceased husband identified as Baluku Benson and the detained suspect are both residents of Nabisalu Wasswa Zone, Makindye division, in Kampala.

According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, “facts gathered indicate that on Sunday, March 26, Baluku returned home, while drunk and started fighting his wife, whom he always accused of having extra marital affairs.”

“It is during the domestic fight that the husband grabbed his wife by the neck and started strangling her, which prompted her to draw out a knife and chop off her husband’s genitals.”

Incidentally, Enanga says the husband suffered extreme bleeding from a result of the cut, and this later caused his death.

The Police Spokesperson explained that Baluku’s incident is another reminder that Domestic Violence is real and life threatening, and advised the public to have respect for life and also for one another.

“It further shows how rage and anger, exists among spouses, causing them to lose respect for each other.”
