KAMPALA, UGANDA: Counsel Hussein Rugaba Kashillingi, a prominent Ugandan lawyer has been appointed as one of the Vice Presidents of the Association of European Lawyers, a network of International Lawyers with 761 offices in 149 countries across the World with a total membership of 8,000 members.
The Association Europaa De Abogados (AEA) also known as the International Lawyers Network has offices in the majority of the independent countries of the world.
It’s the largest network of Lawyers in the World in what relates of the number of countries covered with at least one office listed in each country.
Counsel Kashillingi confirmed the news of his appointment in a social media tweet and said he was looking forward to an amazing opportunity to lead the Network.
As a lead Partner at Kashillingi Rugaba & Advocates, the accomplished attorney has a demonstrated history of working in law practice industry, has strong legal skills in negotiation, conveyancing, legal writing, and debt management and is also an Oil and Gas expert.
Kashillingi is also a Director at Re/max Avalon, Chief Legal Counsel at East & Southern Africa Sub-Region at Torres AES.
He previously served as Legal Advisor to His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House and also as a Partner at Akampurira & Co Advocates.
Kashillingi will join other 17 African Lawyers on the AEA Advisory Board including Elies Ben Letaifa from Tunisia, Piet Van der Merwe from South Africa, Bernard Georges from Seychelles, Dr Mohamed Dieye from Senegal, Ulrich Etzold from Namibia and Karim Adyel from Morocco.
The AEA Advisory Board is currently being headed by Pedro Beltan from Spain as President and the First Vice President is Micheal R. Johnson from America.
Others include Shailendra Ramsagur from Mauritius, Dr Mohamed Tumi from Libya, Kwame Nyampong from Ghana, d’Almeida Mensah Regine from Gabon, Samuel Teshale Derbe from Ethiopia, Emad Hendawy from Egypt, Tete Ehimomo from Ivory Coast, Albert A. Bongam from Cameron, Luis Trigo Carrazedo from Angola, Ernest Awungjia from Cameron and Maya Ghellal from Algeria.
