The Kahungye Sub County councillor Champion Baker told our reporter that the rains caused floods that washed away several gardens of crops as well as animals.
Mr Baker said the floods washed away eight houses, four shops and several gardens of cabbages, Irish potatoes and beans.
He expressed worry that the Sub County will be hit by famine saying that the government should quickly come to the rescue of the people. He added that he is compiling a report to submit to the District Disasters Committee for the intervention.
