BUDUDA, UGANDA: Police in Bududa district are investigating how one of the district engineers, attached to Bushigayi town council was found dead inside his bathroom.
The deceased identified as Emmanuel Eriot who had woken up to ease himself in the wee hours of Monday morning was discovered dead by his wife a few hours later.
The late’s supervisor Mr Issa Bukoma told this website that the deceased had called him at 8:00 pm on Sunday night and they had scheduled to meet up for work today (Monday) only to be told that he died in the bathroom.
He added that Eriot had no recent history or illness and his sudden death leaves unanswered questions beforehand.
Mr Milton Kamoti Wasungiyi, the LC5 Chairperson Bududa said they have lost a very resourceful person in the district.
According to Wasunguyi, the deceased was youthful and had a lot to offer to the district in terms of service.
By Press time, the cause of Eriot’s death was yet to be established although his body had been conveyed to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem.
