The current Njeru Municipality MP, Hon Jimmy Lwanga should just eat his pie and say goodbye to parliament. This is after Mbajjwe Rogers, who is part of the new breed of journalists that have changed the latest airwaves in the country vowed to unseat him in the next elections.

The well-kempt and free-flowing intelligent radio personality currently trades his business with the biggest radio station in eastern Uganda, 90.6 Busoga One FM and he has become the people’s favorite for the seat come 2026.

Ranked as the best Luganda news anchor in eastern Uganda and one of the best in the country, the luminary newscaster who also hosts the “Ebyekusifu” Program alongside Hassan Muwanga keeps tabs on his sources, always Cross-checking with facts strategically placing himself to expose the weaknesses of his opponent.

Mr Mbajjwe is married to a sound family blessed with twins. He doubles as a Namwezi and Nakibizzi resident who subscribes to the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP). Mbajjwe is gifted with super qualities that connect him to the local people where he is seen busy repairing boreholes and extending clean water closer to the people.

This has made him a thorn in the shoes of the embattled current MP, Jimmy Lwanga who has abandoned the constituency and the party which helped him to attain the area’s most prestigious seat.

The soft-spoken personality has a distinct baritone among the residents placing him as the only redeemer from the current frustrations they are going through. He is engaged in numerous community projects, fundraisings and vigils. He has vowed to lobby for a hospital, empower youths through skilling, capital and lobbying for various employment opportunities, and fight against the factories’ unfavourable working conditions.

Ssalongo Mbajjwe Rogers oozes an aura of class, self-belief and above all decorum viewed by the majority as someone unique with a broad vision for Njeru Municipality and effective representation. The area has lacked such a leader of dignity since its creation and no wonder he has become a darling to the majority.
