Kampala, (UG): The inaugural Uganda Europe Convention which is set to take place in December this year will be aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial skills and innovations among the diasporas
This was revealed on Thursday, October 05, 2023, when the founder of the Uganda Europe Convention, Mr Juuko Paul Kingsley paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Abbey Walusimbi, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Affairs at his office in Kampala.
Mr. Juuko during the meeting briefed the Ambassador about the upcoming Uganda Europe Convention 2023 slated to run from December 5th to 9th, 2023, at AC Palacio Hotel in Malaga, Spain.
According to Mr. Juuko, the purpose of the Uganda Europe Convention is to connect Ugandans in Europe and those back home, with a focus on bringing together all stakeholders for the improvement of the lives of Ugandans, on both sides of the continental divide.
He added that it’s a way to explore a renewed commitment to building stronger Uganda-Europe business, investment, and trade ties.
Notably, key players will have an opportunity to network, exchange experiences and explore win-win investment, and trade opportunities.
This will be possible by uniting Ugandans from all the different European countries, recognizing entrepreneurs and innovators, who are making a difference and improving the lives of Ugandans on both sides of the geographic divide.
On his part, Ambassador Walusimbi welcomed the idea, assuring that the government through the Office of the President/Diaspora Affairs will fully participate in this effort, in a bid to bridge gaps, lift barricades, create opportunities, and enhance living and working conditions of the Diaspora community.
The Uganda Europe Convention 2023 is a social network of Ugandans living on the European continent and those living in Uganda.
The event which aims to bring together all stakeholders for the improvement of the lives of Ugandans on both sides of the continental divide will run under the theme: “Enhancing Entrepreneurship and Innovation.”
