Preliminary information indicates Pastor Naheirwe visited Kyahairwe’s home to pray for her and remove witchcraft saying he had supernatural abilities to drive bad spirits out of people’s homes.

During the session, the pastor prayed and removed the so-called “Mayembe” (witchcraft) in the area as part of his miracles.

Later on, he used fire to burn the herbs and the supposed witchcraft, but he tragically collapsed and died instantly while doing so, according to locals.

Although he claimed to have been trusted by the villagers to pray for them, Pastor Naheirwe died while purportedly working miracles on Tuesday evening.

Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, ASP Sam Twineamazima confirmed the report and said that a sudden death case was reported, and the murder scene was inspected and recorded.

In order to conduct a postmortem examination, ASP Twineamazima said the deceased’s body was transported to Nakasongola Health Center IV as police looked for his relatives.
