Ugandan netball stars shine bright in Malaysian Super League finale

Kuala Lumpur, MY: The Malaysian Netball Super League came to an electrifying close on Sunday, November 05th, showcasing exceptional talent and fierce competition. Among the standout performers were four Ugandan athletes who left an indelible mark on the tournament.

Christine Namulumba Kango emerged as the shining star, claiming the title of Best Shooter with impeccable accuracy and skilful precision on the court. Her consistent performance throughout the league was a testament to her dedication and prowess.

Shadia Nassanga, a force to be reckoned with, was awarded the prestigious Most Valuable Player (MVP) accolade. Shadia’s exceptional leadership, tactical acumen, and exceptional gameplay set her apart as a true game-changer for her team.

Shaffie Nalwanja proved to be an impenetrable fortress in the defense, earning her the well-deserved title of Best Defender. With her unwavering determination and strategic prowess, Shaffie turned a formidable opponent, frustrating even the most seasoned attackers.

Adding a touch of glory to the Ugandan contingent, Falidah Kadodi walked away with a bronze medal, achieved alongside her accomplished team, Perak Phoenix. 

Their collective effort and indomitable spirit were instrumental in securing this remarkable achievement.

The trio of Shadia Nassanga, Christine Namulumba, and Shaffie Nalwanja, affectionately known as the “She Cranes,” showcased their extraordinary skills and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
