In a thrilling encounter during the first leg of the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, Senegal secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Uganda’s Queen Cranes.

The tension escalated as Senegal broke the deadlock just before halftime, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Despite Uganda’s resilient efforts, the lone goal remained the deciding factor.

The return leg scheduled for next Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru is anticipated to bring even more excitement as Uganda looks set to overturn the one-goal deficit and make to to the next phase of the qualifiers.

Meanwhile, in another clash, the indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon showcased their dominance, securing a triumphant victory at home against Kenya with three first-half goals sealing the deal.
