Uganda boxing champions crowned in thrilling championship finals

Lugogo, (K’LA): In a riveting conclusion to the Ugandan Boxing Championships League, the nation witnessed remarkable performances and new champions emerging in various weight categories.

Kibirige Arafat seized the spotlight, claiming the title of Champion with a commanding 5:0 unanimous victory against Jamidali Adam Elite in the intense 86Kgs division.

The action-packed event which took place on Boxing Day, December 26th, continued with Katushabe Angel securing a dominant 5:0 unanimous win against Muduwa Brenda in the Youth 48Kgs category, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.

Lubega Reagan left a lasting impression, winning by RSC in round 3 against Kato Henry in the Youth 63.5Kgs division, demonstrating both prowess and resilience.

Kimera Moses emerged victorious in a closely contested battle, clinching the title with a 4:1 split decision over Matovu Livingston in the Youth 57Kgs category.

In the Youth 54Kgs division, Balyegesa Benon claimed the championship after a hard-fought 4:1 split decision against Lubega Hakim, highlighting the fierce competition in this weight class.

The night reached its climax when Tukamuhebwa Joshua secured the title with a stunning KO victory in round 2 against Raskara Paul in the Elite 63.5 kg category, leaving spectators in awe of his exceptional performance.
