Namyalo urges Bazzukulu to stay focused on education, awards best PLE performers in Tororo

Tororo, (UG): The head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) of NRM, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye yesterday (Monday) spent the day in Tororo Municipality in Eastern Uganda where she and the area MP donated equipment to the best pupils in the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) in the municipality.

Ms Namyalo who also doubles as the Special Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs graced the event which was held at Rock View Primary School in Tororo, at the invitation of Hon. Apollo Yeri Ofwono where thousands of Bazzukulu turned up in big numbers on the afternoon.

Speaking at the function, the ONC Boss expressed appreciation towards parents who made sacrifices to provide education for their children, emphasizing the importance of an educated population for the nation’s prosperity.

“My fellow mothers here I thank you for putting in all your efforts to educate these children, I know very well that most of you here are single mothers, our dads are no longer responsible but you have not given up,” Ms Namyalo said.

She further implored the girls to prioritize their education and avoid getting involved with inappropriate individuals in order to ensure a successful future.

“I also want to caution my fellow bazzukulu here especially our students, don’t be confused by these men, some have money but it’s not worth surrendering your life because most of those men are terribly sick.”

Namyalo asked the Bazzukulu not to be blindfolded and hoodwinked by these opposition agents she linked to a man who comes for a ‘one-night stand’.

“They come here to confuse you, use you and tomorrow drop you after achieving their selfish interests. They used to say government schools are not performing. Now tell me whether this Rock View that got 19 first grades and 112 second grades is funded by NUP or FDC,” she wondered.

At the same function, the ONC manager also donated self-empowerment tools to Bazzukulu ba Museveni in a move to empower them to become self-reliant and generate for their families a daily income. The items donated included hoes, sprayers, popcorn machines, salon machines, welding machines, hair dryers, sewing machines among others.

Among the items donated by the ONC here included hoes, sprayers, popcorn machines, salon machines, welding machines, hair dryers, sewing machines to mention but a few.

On the other hand, Hon Apollo, on the opposite side, generously provided blankets, bags, and mattresses to the top-performing students, along with additional funds to purchase books and other educational supplies for their upcoming secondary education.

From the above function, Namyalo swiftly made her way to meet with SACCO members of Kasoli Housing Project. They urgently requested her assistance in conveying their concerns to President Yoweri Museveni, seeking his intervention to protect them from the encroachment of Standard Guage Railway (SGR) mafias who were unlawfully seizing their land without providing any compensation.

”We welcome the development, but it shouldn’t be more harm than good to put people. Therefore, I am going to push this matter to Jajja and am sure you will be compensated fairly.” Namyalo assured the residents.

Prior to the aforementioned events, Hajjat Namyalo visited Tororo Central Market and encountered several groups of Bazzukulu who collectively supported President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s candidacy for 2026.

The Bazzukulu at this market voiced their concerns about their leaders’ tendency to show preference towards their relatives and friends while registering them for government programs and asked Hajjat to assist them in acquiring tailoring machines, as this is a business they are familiar with.

In response to their queries, Namyalo guaranteed that she would not shield any mafia and expressed her intention to bring these matters to the attention of her superior, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the NRM National Chairman.

She affirmed that those who are tarnishing the government’s image by misusing the youth’s funds will be held accountable in due course.
