Kaberamaido: Okapel PS Alumni body rewards best performers in 2023 PLE Results

Kaberamaido, (UG):- The old pupils of Okapel Primary School under the umbrella of Okapel PS Alumni Association Tuesday distributed brand new mattresses, books, blankets, soap and a token of appreciation to pupils who excelled in the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations – PLE and the teachers of the candidate class.

Mr Egaru David, who doubles as the speaker of the mighty Association together with other members of the team said that the plan is to formally reward school children who work hard to achieve good results, as well as encouraging the lower classes to aim for good grades and motivating the teachers to do their best.

This exercise happened at the school ground which is located in Okapel Parish, Aperkira sub-county in Kaberamaido district where the pupils came together with their parents.

The Okapel Primary School Headteacher, Mr Shaban Alunga appreciated the Alumni team for supporting the pupils and said they should continue with the motive of doing such.

He added that it was a large contribution to the success of the school since they started by buying sets during the time the candidates were preparing for exams and now again after the results.

Samuel Edechu the chairperson of the Association in his speech presented by the speaker Mr David Egaru encouraged the members of the association and the parents to support school activities since it is very important in improving the performance of the school.

He also encouraged the pupils to go and work harder and do their best in secondary school and present a good image of the school.
