Ntungamo mourns Radio Ankole boss Eliot Magande

Ntungamo, (UG):- The media fraternity in Ntungamo District, western Uganda is in sombre moods following the death of veteran journalist and station manager of 99.3FM Radio Ankole Station, Mzee Eliot Kabangira Magande.

Magande who has been sick for a long while passed on Thursday morning at the New Mulago Hospital Block A level 4 where he has been bedridden for some time.

The Station Director and Founder, Mr Mwesigwa Rukutana confirmed Magande’s death news and said the deceased’s body was by press time still at the hospital as preparations got underway to have him back to his ancestral home for further burial arrangements.

“With deep sorrow, on behalf of Radio Ankole Management and the entire staff, I announce the death of our station manager Mzee Eliot Kabangira Magande who has just passed on. He has been sick for a long, we tried all it took to save his life but God has decided otherwise. May his soul rest in eternal peace” Rukutana said in a statement.

After the news of his death, eulogies started flowing into the entire media fraternity and the late’s family, “Mzee wa kazi is gone, may the good Lord strengthen and comfort his family”.

“Fellow comrade Mc has rested. Condolences to the family especially Shimon and Vannesa. RIP ELIOT KABANGIRA MAGANDE, your reading of Runyankole announcements was far better than playing Runyankole songs of some artists. RIP Mc.”

“With deep sorrow, I announce the death of Eliot Kabangira Magande, just happened at New Mulago block A level 4. MHSRIP.”
