Musician Blood Moon arrested over offensive communication

Lira, (UG): Police in Lira City are detaining Emmy Ongom aka King Blood Moon, the chairman of Lango Sub-region Music Association on allegations of cyber harassment and offensive communication.

Blood Moon was arrested on Friday afternoon from Kichope cell, Odokomit ward in Lira City West Division and whisked to Lira City West Police Station where he is currently being detained.

The musician’s arrest follows a case against him that was filed by a fellow female artist, Peace Among, aka Queen Akira at Lira Central Police station under SD Ref 14/10/02/2024 accusing Blood Moon of hurling insults at her through a series of social media posts.

King Blood however refuted the allegation when asked to defend his posts saying; “It’s a fault report, I didn’t assault anyone on social media instead it is Akira who I should be arresting for insulting me on social media that I ate condolence money.”

But a YouTube channel watched by this reporter shows Ongom replying bitterly to allegations by Among of swindling condolence money sent to him by Eddy Kenzo.

According to the Video on Comedy Friday TV, Among claims Ongom consumed the Shs300000 that Kenzo sent him to be taken as Condolence to the family of the late Musician, BeePee.

Meanwhile Akira said Blood Moon who never had any kind words for the comrade but just went on attacking Akira bitterly both on WhatsApp and YouTube.
