Woman strangled to death in Kikuube, authorities speak out

Kikuube, (UG):- Authorities in western Uganda’s Kikuube District are investigating the brutal murder in which a woman identified as Topista Kyomuhendo was attacked by Bandits who forced her to death in a gruesome incident on Tuesday night.

Mr Magezi, who was the husband to the late Topista in deep sorrow affirmed having not many issues with the late since they locally divorced but with a good relationship since they have grown children. 

The deceased was hailed as a hard-working woman here in Buhimba Town Council who started small after separating from her husband by then in their home found in Kinubi Hoima City and has been a resident here along Buhimba Kinogozi road just opposite StaBex petrol station.

At the scene of crime, the police dog did play its role, Police doctor among many till when the body was taken to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital mortally for postmortem where the family will receive the body for burial arrangements. 

The Kikuube District Head of Security, RDC Amlan Tumusiime pledged to work together with other leaders to have the area boosted with UPDF officials who will be deployed for healthy patrols.

Tumusiime, however, appealed for calm from residents as police carry out investigations, and directed UPDF officers to work with police officers through the OC station Kyabatalya to have the crime of scene safeguarded as well as the retail shop where the deceased was surviving as daily business. 

The Kikuube District Chairman, Peter Banura speaking of the same incident appealed to locals to work together with security as they have got to mention those few things they knew from the deceased that could lead to the arrest of the criminals as well as mention the names of those they know who might be masterminds.

Mr Banura, however, wondered why most murder cases in Buhimba as well target women and why to murder someone leaving items Intact.
