The Uganda National Examinations Board – UNEB on Thursday this week released the official results of the 2023 UACE examinations where 110,553 students sat for the final examinations across 2,102 centers nationwide.
The performance, which according to Uneb’s executive secretary, Dan Odongo was a stellar one marked a substantial rise of 12,663 candidates compared to the preceding year with a 99.1% passing rate, for which 73% qualify for University admission.
However, despite a number of districts continuing to post good performance in the UACE examinations year after year, several others continue to lag, while a few even had no candidate for the S.6 examinations which were conducted between November – December 2023.
In our continued analysis of the 2023 UACE Results released, DailyExpress examines the best and worst-performing districts across the country.
The ranking is based on the number of As per district, meaning that districts with more As rank higher than those with less.
