Uk-based Nathan Asiimwe earns Cranes call-up for upcoming international friendlies

Versatile Ugandan defender, Nathan Asiimwe George, who plies his trade for Charlton Athletic FC in England, has received a prestigious call-up to join the Uganda Cranes squad for their upcoming international friendly matches in Marrakech, Morocco. 

Asimwe’s inclusion comes as a testament to his outstanding performances and adaptability, as he is capable of playing anywhere across the entire backline.

The Uganda Cranes are gearing up for two crucial matches during the forthcoming FIFA International window. 

The first encounter is scheduled for March 22nd, 2024, where Uganda will face off against Comoros. Following this, on March 26th, 2024, the Cranes will take on another opponent in their quest for international success.

These friendly matches hold significant importance for the Ugandan national team as they serve as vital preparation ahead of a busy international schedule looming on the horizon.
