Masindi, (UG):- Kitara FC showcased their dominance in the Uganda Premier League with a resounding 3-0 victory over URA FC at Masindi Stadium.
The match, held on Thursday, saw Kitara assert their authority from the onset, setting the tone for a memorable performance.
The opening goal came in the early stages of the game when Denis Omedi capitalized on a swift counterattack, slotting in a precise finish from a Kabon Living assist.
Despite URA’s protests for offside, the goal stood, granting Kitara a crucial advantage.
Not content with just one goal, Kitara intensified their onslaught, doubling their lead in the 37th minute.
Jude Semugabi rose highest to meet a corner delivered by Paul Mucureezi, unleashing a powerful header past the URA goalkeeper, further solidifying Kitara’s position.
The match took a dramatic turn when substitute Ivan Ahimbisibwe received a red card for an elbow on Paddy Muhumuza, leaving URA with a numerical disadvantage.
Kitara capitalized on their opponent’s predicament, with Living Kabon sealing the victory in the dying moments.
A well-timed through ball from substitute Najib Yiga found Kabon, who calmly chipped the ball over the URA goalkeeper to secure a comprehensive win for Kitara.
