Uganda Cranes arrive in Morocco ahead of Comoros, Ghana friendlies

Rabat, (MOR):- The Uganda Cranes squad Sunday arrived in Morocco ahead of two international friendly games against Ghana and Comoros later this month.

The contingent that left Kampala yesterday aboard Qatar Airways touched base at Casablanca Mohamed V International Stadium at 6:15 a.m. (9:15 EAT), having had a stopover in Doha before proceeding to the West African country.

The first game against Comoros takes place on March 22, 2024, before facing Ghana four days later. All matches will be played at Stade Grande Marrakech.

Fourteen local-based players travelled with the team, and a foreign-based legion of 11 will join the team in Morocco from their respective clubs.

Midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga, left-back Nicholas Mwere, and fullback Allan Kyambadde withdrew from the squad after picking up injuries.

Team Captain Khalid Aucho is also missing the trip as he is recovering from an injury.

Defenders: Kenneth Semakula (SC Villa), Elvis Bwomono (St. Mirren FC), Bevis Mugabi (Motherwell FC), Toby Sibbick (Hearts FC), Halidi Lwaliwa (Bregalnica STIP), Denis Kaka Omony (Soltilo Bright Stars FC), Enock Walusimbi (URA FC), and George Nathan Asiimwe (Charlton FC).
