Nigerian legendary actor and film director Ramsey Nouah together with famed act Osita Iheme ‘Paw Paw’and renowned actress Nancy Isime are in Uganda as guests to the 2024 iKON Awards happening this weekend in Kampala.
The trio jetted in at Entebbe International Airport on Friday at exactly 1:54 a.m. aboard Uganda Airlines as a sign of honouring the spirit of fostering collaboration between filmmakers for the good of Africa’s film and television industry.
The Nigerian film stars are set to grace the second edition of the iKON Awards at the Kampala Serena Conference Centre this Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Speaking to ChimpReports in an exclusive interview, Osita revealed that collaboration between filmmakers in different genres across Africa and the globe is what the film industry requires to blossom.
“Africa is blessed with talented young enthusiastic people, not to mention the film actors, and we need such collaborations and platforms like the iKON Awards to take our craft to the next level and to be recognized and appreciated for what we do,” Osita remarked.
The annual iKON Awards are aimed at recognizing and celebrating game changers in the Ugandan film and TV scene.
