Kampala, (UG):- The Mayanja family have released the burial program of Humphrey Mayanja, the eldest sibling of the singing trio of Jose Chameleone, Weasel, and Pallaso who died Saturday morning at Uganda Cancer Institute Mulago.

Humphrey, 49, succumbed to stage four colon cancer after returning to Kampala from the United States at the request of his parents following a successful surgery in the States.

Releasing the burial program through a social media post, Jose Chameleone said there will be a church service at St Joseph Catholic Church, Lweza, on Tuesday, April 1, at Noon.

Thereafter, a vigil will be held in the evening at Kitiko, Kigo, and on Wednesday, April 02, 2024, the burial of his elder brother will be in Mityana District at Kalangaalo, their ancestral village at 2 pm.

Humphrey, alongside his second-born brother Henry Kasozi and their sister Josephine, distinguished themselves as the only members of the Mayanja family not involved in the entertainment and music recording industry.

Unlike his brothers Joseph Mayanja, better known by the stage name Jose Chameleone, Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel, Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso, and the late Emmanuel Mayanja (AK 47), who gained fame in the entertainment world, Humphrey pursued other endeavors.

In a family where the siblings in the entertainment industry often made headlines for various reasons, Humphrey Mayanja assumed the role of the elder brother, frequently mediating and reconciling his younger siblings whenever conflicts arose.

May Humphrey’s soul Rest in Eternal Peace!
