Busoga, (UG):- “As long as tomorrow is still unknown, never look down on anybody” This wise saying comes true as the office of the president under the stewardship of honourable Milly Balababa appoints Kakaire Humphrey alias “Kamada Embuzi” to take on the role of Media Assistant with immediate effect.

Aged 34 years, born and raised in Bugweri district part of the Busoga Sub-region with a media background having worked for a number of media houses such as NBS radio, Victoria FM, and Apex radio  Humphrey has a reason to smile as luck is on his side.

Among his roles include creating and monitoring media schedules, building strong relationships with media outlets including resolving any issues that may arise to mention but a few.

Kakaire Humphrey expressed his sincere gratitude for being considered for the new role. “I would like to take the opportunity to thank the appointing authority for the trust and confidence He has shown in me by offering me the position of Media Assistant. It is a great honour to be considered for such an important role in the government and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity,” says Mr. Humphrey.

This development has left many of the journalists in Busoga sub-region lauding the current government for considering them as the fourth estate and stakeholders in the development of this country.

According to one Igulu Faizal, the chairperson of Bugweri district News’ Bureau where Kakeire Humphrey hails from has asked the colleagues trusted with such bigger offices to utilize them by lobbying for the media fraternity and also advocate for press freedom in the country.

It should be recalled that last week the office of the president stirred up the new appointments which according to the appointment letters are for the two new staff positions created within the RD/RCC’s office.

However, in the same appointment, Kakeire Humphrey was deployed as Assistant RDC Lyantonde district where he was advised to report to the RDC for further duty instructions and assignments.
