The important retreat is scheduled for May 26 and will run up to June 7, 2024.

Hajji Yunus Kakande, the secretary office of the president has issued a circular to the new Commissioners that the main objective of the retreat is to apprise them of the roles in service delivery in local governments.

“To equip ARDCs/ARCCs with relevant skills, knowledge, and values necessary to become leaders and change agents in their respective areas of jurisdiction,” Hajji Kakande writes in the letters dated May 20 2024.

“You will be required to report at Kololo ceremonial grounds on Sunday, May 26 at 10 am ready for departure to Kyankwanzi,” he added.

Hajji Kakande informed the Commissioners not to use their personal vehicles as there will be no space for them at Kololo.

These ARDCs and ARCCs who have been in office for just one month even before induction have already proved their relevancy by tremendously delivering on their mobilization role.
