ONC Football Team heads to Bunyoro for friendly match with De’Corporates FC Hoima

Kampala, (UG):- In a rallying bid to engage Bazzukulu ba Museveni and promote talents, the Office of the National Chairman football team has today left for Bunyoro Subregion for a soccer friendly match against De’Corporates FC Hoima City.

The match which takes place tomorrow, Saturday July 13, 2024 at Bwikya Playgrounds at 4pm is particularly aimed at establishing a cordial relationship with the President’s Bazzukulu in Bunyoro Subregion, particularly Hoima City.

On Wednesday, the Head ONC, SPA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo flagged off the team of 25 including technical team and players ahead of Friday (today’s) travek as she set out for the Leadership summit in Kyankwanzi.

Hajjat Namyalo rallied them to represent the office well and tasked them to return with victory from the Oil city. The ONC Boss also extended a Shs2m cash support to the team to cater for expenses on matchday before urging the technical staff escorting players to ensure the Bazzukulu in Hoima are engaged during the match.

Namyalo also tasked the team manager to ensure other avenues of sports development such as boxing and netball team are also thought about so that other staff and gender can also engage in the activities.

“We have so many talented youths and coordinators, so let us create other sports teams to ensure we develop talents in unison,” Hajjat remarked while flagging off the team on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hoima match, is the first of it’s kind, that ONC football team is engaging in and the Team Manager, Luzinda Henry who also doubles as the Wakiso Region Coordinator at ONC said more friendlies are in the pipeline as the team aims to engage with several Bazzukulu in various parts of the country ahead of the 2026 elections.

As ONC FC heads out Hoima, we wish the team journey mercies and stay over there, and we remain hopeful that they’ll return with victory this weekend.
