Mubende, (UG):- Nnalongo Tindimwebwa Topista, a famous committed and celebrated education guru and political pundit, has declared her intentions to contest for the Woman Member of Parliament seat for Mubende district, come 2026 general elections.
A young patriotic Ugandan politician who aspires to inspire many says this is the right time to transform her country by causing a fundamental change in Mubende.
Tindimwebwa a virtuous woman is highly praised for her resilience and determination. She says that Mubende people have long suffered with the half-baked leaders whose intentions are to feed their swollen bellies and wet their mandibles with taxpayers’ money without rendering effective services to the wanainchi.
”Well, am happy at least that am talking about Mubende which I understand very well. For your information, I was born in Mubende, raised, studied, and worked in this same district. Also allow me to inform you that even after all the above, I found myself still getting married in Mubende so when I say am the true candidate for my people, it’s because I know them and know challenges hindering them,” said Tindimwebwa;
”My Mubende people have for long been disappointed by some of our selfish leaders, they come crying for votes after securing victories they run to Kampala, can you imagine! all they know is chopping taxpayers’ money without working for it. Even during recess, our MPs will never be seen in the constituency. So this is the gap I have come to bridge.”
Nalongo Tindimwebwa who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) and a Master’s degree in education management and administration from the same University is a famous icon in Mubende where she has since left hundreds of children transformed by offering to them impactful education.
”Am happy in my little capacity at least I have been able to touch the lives of very many people especially young souls, the children. A lot of my students passed so highly when I was still a Head Teacher at Mubende Parents School and this was greatly because of my hard work, application of right teaching skills and good administration and coordination with my teachers. So I am a result-oriented person, people of Mubende should just wait for the seasonal and committed MP in me,” Tindimwebwa emphasized.
The hopeful MP who is married to another restless businessman Salongo Kasendwa Badru the CEO of Kastop International Recruitment Company, says the moment she steps into parliament, Mubende people should forget challenges like;
Poor education infrastructures, the poor performance of learners, youth unemployment, poor health care, poverty, favouritism in government programs, land grabbing, and early teenage pregnancies among very many others.
“I am not going to parliament to snore like some of those MPs I don’t want to mention, no am going to present issues affecting my people, and being an educator, Mubende people should be rest assured that the standards of learning for their children must change immediately I secure victory,” she further notes.
“I studied in UPE schools, am a real hustler when it comes to education, and I am not a planned kid, my parents used to sweat to get Ugx3000 to take me back to school. So I know this is what exactly my young sisters and brothers in Mubende are going through and that’s why I have surrendered myself to rescue them if they trust me with their support to represent them in parliament,” Tindimwebwa recalls.
She says that once the education issue is sorted, it will automatically solve the challenge of youth unemployment since poor performers/failures are never considered for job recruitment.
In her current capacity as the coordinator for the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) in Mubende, Tindimwebwa is on the war of ensuring that people get their Parish Development Model (PDM) cash in time but also without any illicit charges.
The staunch supporter of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and loyal muzzukulu of HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has so far supported dozens of women groups, youth groups with start-up capital, students with education assistance and also supported hundreds of patients in various hospitals with financial aid.
