Fort Portal, (UG):- As the world continues to experience growth in many areas including advancement in technology, and people being faced with natural calamities like flooding, landslides, hurricanes and many others, religious leaders have also continued to remind worshipers to cling to God who will save them from such and who will also be with them till the end.
In his sabbath worship message, the president of Mid-Western Uganda Field of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Rusoke Richard Amooti called on Christians to be disciples, preaching God’s good news to all people wherever they can reach.
Amidst the many challenges they are going through, he told them that the only hope they ought to have was keeping close to God as they would be shielded from many other challenging situations. He delivered this message when he was preaching to the believers.
Pastor Rusoke also called on Christians to continue telling people about their role in preparing others for eternity. He emphasized that there was a great impact from the ongoing evangelistic crusades in which many people have been won to Christ through being baptized.
These efforts and camp meetings are some of the SDA church annual for revival, reformations and church growth through increasing church membership as many accept Christ as their saviour.
In his words on Saturday 28th September,2024, he reminded the Christians that lifting God’s name on high needed their full involvement in the designed church plans and projects.
He emphasized this as Mid-Western Uganda Field is taking on a mega project of its magnificent office complex in the heart of Fort Portal, the Tourism City.
