Kampala, (UG):- The Senior Presidential Advisor and Political Assistant to Office of the National Chairman (ONC, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye has donated a whooping Shs 3 million to Namasuba College of Commerce for the infrastructure development at the Institute.
SPA Namyalo made the donation while officiating at the college’s 16th Graduation Ceremony, held Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Freedom City in Kampala.
The ONC boss expressed her commitment to supporting educational institutions and empowering students with practical skills, saying the donation is part of ONC’s broader vision to empower communities through self-help projects and skills development.
In addition to the monetary contribution, she pledged to provide skilling equipment such as sewing machines, hair dryers, and toolboxes for mechanics.
“Investing in education, particularly in practical skills, is essential for building a self-reliant and empowered society,” Namyalo noted, highlighting the importance of vocational training in reducing youth unemployment and improving livelihoods.
The ONC Manager also pledged support to the institution in form of skilling equipment like sewing machines, hair dryers, tool boxes for mechanical engineering students to aid their learning and improve their skills.
Mr Jamil Ssebalu, the principal of Namasuba College of Commerce thanked Hajjat Namyalo and President Museveni’s office for their generous support.
He said the contribution comes in handy and will go a long way in improving the college’s facilities and the quality of education offered.
In recent months, SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah has been at the forefront of an economic empowerment program that has seen her distribute similar items across the country to further emphasize President Yoweri Museveni’s campaign to eradicate poverty.
