Buikwe, (UG):- A total of 24 participants have successfully completed the FUFA Talent Identification Scouting course, a program, which culminated in a graduation ceremony held at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.
The course, aimed to equip scouts with essential skills for identifying emerging football talent across the country offered a comprehensive Grade 4 scouts qualification, blending classroom instruction with field practice and video review sessions.
The hands-on approach ensured that participants gained practical experience in assessing talent in real-world scenarios, a crucial component of effective scouting.
The FUFA Talent ID framework is integral to the FUFA Technical Master Plan 2023-2030, designed to create a robust talent pathway.
The framework prioritizes talent identification as the first step in nurturing athletes, allowing them to transition into elite development programs tailored to their potential.
Funding for the course was provided under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme, a dedicated initiative established by FIFA to enhance the global competitiveness of its member associations. This program arose from a comprehensive analysis of the global talent ecosystem, emphasizing the need for structured development pathways.
The successful completion of this course marks a pivotal moment for both participants and the future of Ugandan football, laying the groundwork for a new generation of skilled athletes ready to compete on the international stage.
