Kampala, (UG):- The Police in Uganda’s capital Kampala are on a hunt for controversial musician Patrick Mulwana, aka ‘Alien Skin’ over his alleged involvement in the case of suspected murder and violent assault at Nsambya Hospital on Tuesday night.

This is after a viral video making rounds on the internet which shows members suspected to be of Alien Skin’s gang commonly referred to as “Eggaali” in a heated altercation with medical personnel at Nsambya Hospital over the fate of their deceased colleague.

Reports indicate that Joram “Jerome” Tumwesigye, a 28-year-old resident of Makindye Division, who is also a member of the Fangone Forest gang was reportedly rushed to Nsambya Hospital by six unidentified individuals for medical treatment after sustaining injuries in a car crash.

Although details surrounding the tragic crash were not disclosed, it is said that Jerome reportedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving before colliding with the perimeter wall which struck him.

Following the crash, Jerome was then transported to Nsambya Hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead about an hour after arrival.

In the aftermath of their colleague’s death, the musician and his gang reportedly turn violent turn demanding answers from the medical staff at the facility about their colleague’s passing.

“One individual, identified by witnesses as ‘Alien Skin,’ allegedly demanded medical forms from the attending doctor,” ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police revealed in a statement on Wednesday morning.

“When his demands were not met, the suspect and his group reportedly assaulted the doctor and two security guards before fleeing the scene,” he added.

Owoyesigyire identified the victims of the assault as; Dr. Zaidi Matovu and two security guards, Anthony Muyanda and Alex Odongo, all employees of Nsambya Hospital who were beaten by the gang fighting for Jerome’s corpse.

Police said they are now focusing on identifying and apprehending Alien Skin and the group he was with, who are believed to be directly linked to both the suspected murder and the subsequent assaults.

“We assure the public that efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice,” Owoyesigyire stressed, appealing to the public for information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.

Notorious Alien Skin

This is not the first time Alien Skin has been linked to violent behaviour. Earlier this year, the musician gained notoriety for a string of controversial incidents.

In March 2023, Alien Skin allegedly assaulted Ntale Tonny, a bouncer at Vox Bar in Makindye, after Ntale asked him and his entourage to follow security procedures. The attack left Ntale with a broken jaw and several broken teeth. Alien later bragged about paying the victim Shs 50,000, claiming, “I hit him like a punching bag.”

The Kimenke star was arrested at Wankulukuku amid cheers from his fans and taken to Katwe Police Station, only to be released on bond.

Following his release, Alien threatened NBS TV presenter Isaac Kawaalya, aka Kaiyz, on social media, saying, “Kaiyz, watch out for your jaw.”

The musician is also famous and notorious for leading his gang to pick-pocket money from revellers at popular shows and concerts where he is advertised to perform.

It remains to be seen, if apprehended, Alien Skin will be tamed for his unbecoming wild behaviour which has become the talk of town in recent days.
