Road to 2026: Former Pallisa LC3 boss Patrick Okiring joins race for Agule county MP seat

Pallisa (UG):- The former LC3 chairperson of Pallisa Town Council and Pallisa District FDC Chairperson who crossed to the ruling party (NRM) Patrick Okiring alias Inter-bridge Thursday cautioned people of Agule county to be mindful when electing the MP come 2026.

Okiring who has shown full intentions to get the party flag that will accelerate him to parliament while addressing the press at his home Chellekura sub-county said Agule needs a clear-headed leader who will rejuvenate the previous representation of Nathan Okwakol as there was order and no camps creation which cause division resulting into vendettas.

“My declaration to contest is making some hopeful people like Samuel Otukol quake and trying to misguided people who already know each of us better than we can talk about ourselves.

At my level I don’t exchange uncalled-for arguments with people who may not even get registered because whoever goes to the pitch before even the tournament’s fixture is scheduled gets a public misconception “, Okiring said.

Okiring said most of the issues that led to his disagreement with President Museveni have been sorted to a level of 80% as peace, road network education, and socio-economic empowerment strategies are in place.
