Kampala, (UG):- Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School (KSP) Kyanja has set December 7th, 2024 as the date on which it will conduct class interviews for new entrants from Nursery to P6.

The School Head teacher Mr Simon Mugaaju confirmed the development in a Memo displayed at the school which also indicated that there are no slots for the candidate class (P.7) as parents and learners ready for term one 2025.

“We have hit the maximum number of P7 candidates we want so we have no vacancy in P7 in 2025,” Mugaaju noted, adding that the interviews for the lower classes will run Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm.

The head of academics Deputy HM Samson Katubeho clarified that the school policy is to keep few pupils per class so that they concentrate and excel. “As a policy, we take few pupils per class so that our teachers concentrate on them to get the best results both in academics and co-curricular activities.”

Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School – Kyanja is an elite school that has dominated Kampala School at the top in PLE results as their pupils have been excelling with 100% first grade.

In addition to excelling academically, KSP trains pupils holistically with the HM Mugaaju further noting that a wide number of clubs coordinated by teachers in collaboration with people from the world of work create a stimulating environment for learners to develop both in body and mind.

The social clubs at the school include; the Interact club for very young/future Rotarians, Young Engineers Club, Young Doctors Club, Young Farmers Club, Home Economics Club, Cosmetology Club, Music Dance and Drama Club.

Mugaaju explained that the clubs help their learners to think broadly which greatly contributes to their candidates’ excellent performance in PLE and in secondary schools where they go.

KSP also works with international partners from the UK and the US who visit the school every February of the year to interact with learners and the teachers share experiences with guests which greatly impact on the pupils’ learning.

The school also has vans that are affordable charges to pick and drop learners daily, ensuring safety of the pupils in and out of school environment. Visit https://www.kampalastandardnurseryandprimaryschoolkyanja.com for more details about the school to plan for the next term.
