Police break silence on Pallaso attack on Alien Skin’s Makindye residence

Kampala, (UG):- The Territorial Police in Kampala are investigating a brutal attack allegedly engineered by Musician Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso’s gang on Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin’s resident in Kizungu zone, Makindye Division in Kampala.

The case, according to police was reported by Alien Skin after the attack left a trail of destruction and injuries in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Alien reportedly told police that Pallaso of Team Good Music, and others, allegedly committed the crimes of suspected aggravated robbery and malicious damage leaving individuals identified as Nyanzi Joseph, Mugabi Julius, and Becker nursing wounds sustained from the injuries inflicted upon them.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the 28-year-old Fangone Forest President reportedly developed a disagreement with Pallaso while performing at Crysto Panda’s Empele Festival in Buloba, Wakiso District. The dispute escalated, leading to the attack on Alien Skin’s residence.

SSP Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson in a statement released Thursday said Alien Skin gang allegedly attempted to block Pallaso from performing at the Buloba event, and when he finally got to the stage, Pallaso jibed at him.

“As he left the stage, he was attacked by Alien Skin’s gang,” Onyango said. “Later the suspects, armed with pangas, pit axes, hammers, and stones, launched two attacks on Alien Skin’s residence.”

According to police, the first attack occurred at approximately 3:00 AM on January 2, 2025, but was repelled by police from Makindye Police Station. A second attack happened at 9:00 AM the same day, resulting in significant damage to property.

“The destruction was extensive, with five motor vehicles having shattered windshields and damaged lights, three houses with shattered glass, and cash amounting to Shs6 million stolen. Two victims are currently receiving treatment at Mengo Hospital,” he stated.

Onyango further urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.

In a second statement released Thursday evening, police said they “have observed a trend among musicians who are utilizing gangs to intimidate one another, leading to disorder and chaos at public events and entertainment functions.”

The Police therefore issued a stern warning on all individuals involved in these actions and that once found responsible, they will be held accountable.
