Mukono, (UG):- The Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) has postponed the highly anticipated Bazzukulu empowerment outreach that was scheduled to take place this Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Nakisunga playground in Nakisunga Sub-county, Mukono District.
A statement released on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, by the ONC Spokesperson Mr Kintu Moses confirmed that the event has since been deferred to a future date, which will be communicated in due course.
“The Public (especially Bazzukulu Ba @KagutaMuseveni in Mukono district) is hereby notified that the empowerment event slated for 20th/2/2025 at Nakisunga playground in Nakisunga s/c is postponed to a future date to be communicated,” Kintu announced.
“This is due to the Presidential function organized on the same date 20/2/2025 at Namanve Industrial Park that calls for participation of different key stakeholders in Mukono district,” he added
Kintu further clarified that rescheduling the event will also allow full attention and participation in President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s engagement at Namanve to ensure it is a success.
Similarly, the ONC Manager, who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs (SPA/PA) Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has urged the Bazzukulu fraternity in Mukono to shift their focus towards welcoming and engaging in the Presidential visit to Namanve Industrial Park.
The Kyambogo office, which has become a household name in empowering the bazzukulu with wealth-creation items, has reassured the public that a new date for the outreach event will be announced soon and called for calm from the Bazzukulu fraternity.
