In the 32nd minute, Jjombwe Arthur doubled Bugema’s lead, finishing a well-delivered cross from Opio Azizi.

Kampala responded in the 38th minute when Wanuume Gilbert fired a powerful shot into the far corner to make it 2-1, keeping the game alive.

However, Bugema restored their two-goal cushion just before halftime when Kimuli Dennis scored from close range, courtesy of another assist from Opio Azizi.

Kampala University’s efforts to get back in the game after the restart hit a dead end as Bugema controlled the game and held onto their 3-1 lead.
