Dr Muganga hailed the late’s energy and kindness that touched many, both within and beyond the walls of Victoria University. “Rajiv was full of life, vision, and passion. He believed in building a better future and worked tirelessly to uplift others. His kindness, energy, and commitment to excellence touched countless lives, including mine,” the VU boss wrote.

“May we all find comfort in the memories he left us and the legacy he built. May Rajiv’s soul rest in eternal peace,” Muganga added.

“To the family of Mr. Sudhir Ruparelia and Mrs. Jyotsna Ruparelia, I cannot begin to imagine the pain you are going through. Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences. My thoughts are with you,” he concluded.

Victoria University, where Rajiv served as Director and played a central role in transforming it into one of Uganda’s fastest-growing private institutions, also issued a brief tribute expressing profound sorrow for the loss.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm the passing of our beloved Director, Mr. Rajiv Ruparelia. His visionary leadership and boundless dedication shaped who we are. More details on arrangements will follow. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the university stated.

Rajiv’s leadership at Victoria University was marked by bold reforms, including the introduction of hands-on learning models, international partnerships, and aggressive student-centered campaigns that earned the institution a unique position in Uganda’s higher education landscape.

The 35-year-old’s sudden death has sent shockwaves throughout the education sector, business community, and general public, as tributes continue to pour in celebrating his life and remarkable contributions.
