Ngora, Uganda: Wakiso Zone giants Buddo SS Tuesday sailed through to the finals of the 2025 USSSA National Boys Football Championship after a dramatic 5-4 win over Bukedea Comprehensive School (BCS) in a penalty shootout in Ngora District.
The highly anticipated semi-final ended goalless in normal time, forcing the match into spot kicks, where Buddo SS held their nerve to reach their first final since 2018.
In a tense shootout, Bukedea missed twice while Buddo missed just one. The final tally read 5-4 in favour of the Wakiso Zone giants, who are now just one win away from clinching a third national crown.
BCS had looked solid throughout the game, with captain Godfrey Ssekibengo once again commanding midfield, but Buddo’s backline, led by goalkeeper Denis Kasule, proved impenetrable.
Buddo SS now await the winner between St. Mary’s SS Kitende and Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA), currently facing off in the second semi-final.
The final of the National Boys Football Championship will be played on Wednesday, May 14, at Ngora High School Playground.
