London, United Kingdom: Uganda’s fast-rising female musician, Ava Peace, real name Namugonza Maureen Peace, has finally landed in the United Kingdom for what appears to be a significant breakthrough performance, fulfilling a long-held aspiration in her music journey.

In an emotionally charged post shared on her official X account, Ava reflected on a turning point last year when she had the opportunity to travel to London as a curtain-raiser but was advised by her manager to wait for the right moment.

“I was so excited to sing in the UK, and when I talked to my manager, he said, ‘Ava, you don’t need to rush stuff. Patience pays. Your time will come and you’ll have to go as a huge artiste with several songs to perform too,’” she recounted.

Ava admitted feeling disappointed at the time, but chose to trust the process, driven by faith and a belief in “prime time.” The Nsitula hitmaker credited her manager’s mentorship, saying he encouraged her to endure the tough journey of sleepless nights in the studio and intensive video shoots with the promise that her moment would arrive.

“He said, ‘Ava, everything is possible. This is your year. You got this. Just work hard, be smart. Discipline is key, and I am happy you already are. Time will tell.”

One year later, Ava is in London, not as a supporting act, but for a major show under her name, affirming her manager’s promise. “He was right. He just brought me to London. Big thanks to my manager for never getting tired… Thank you for always being a father figure too.”

Ava Peace is among the most promising new voices in Uganda’s music industry. Known for songs such as “Nsitula,” “Twagala Sente,” “Falling,” “Ttabu” and “Eden”, she has swiftly built a loyal fanbase, blending Afrobeat, dancehall, and contemporary Ugandan pop in a style that is both refreshing and commercially successful.

Her continued rise has sparked comparisons with established names like Sheebah, Spice Diana, Vinka, Winnie Nwagi, and Irene Ntale, as industry watchers tip her to emerge as a dominant force in the near future.
