Acram breaks silence on divorce rumours with Hajat Kulthum, reveals shocking truth

Socialite Acram Gumisiriza (R) says his immigration hurdles in the US prompted the controversial divorce statement by Hajat Kulthum.

Los Angeles, USA: Ugandan socialite Acram Gumisiriza has come out to clarify the viral divorce statement posted by his wife, Hajat Kulthum, saying the announcement was merely a tactic linked to his ongoing immigration process in the United States.

In an exclusive interview with local media, Acram, who has been living in America for nearly a year, insisted that he remains deeply in love with Hajat Kulthum despite the public impression of a separation.

“We are not separating in real life,” he said. “Hat is saying all that out of pressure from the media. This works for me because I’m targeting the papers. All the noise that the media made when it came out benefited me so much.”

Acram explained that since relocating to the US, he has faced challenges acquiring citizenship, and one of the fastest ways to regularize his status is by marrying an American citizen. He disclosed that the purported divorce was designed to facilitate the paperwork.

“All my documents say that I’m married. It is what I’m trying to erase from my papers for the embassy. When I marry this woman, I will get the papers, and you will soon see our wedding pictures,” he said.

Acram further claimed that his planned marriage in the US is purely transactional and does not reflect the real state of his relationship with Kulthum.

“The marriage is not real, though. Hajjat is my wife. I can get another woman here, but it doesn’t erase the fact that Kulthum is my wife. Unless she wants to move on,” he added, before cutting the call abruptly, saying his new woman had just entered the room.

Acram and Hajat Kulthum have been together for over five years, with their romance initially attracting skepticism and criticism from the public. However, the pair have consistently insisted on their commitment to each other.

The latest twist has left followers wondering whether this complex arrangement will eventually fracture the couple or cement their bond once Acram secures his legal status.
