New York, USA: American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was found not guilty of major charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, but remains behind bars after being denied bail while he awaits sentencing for lesser offenses.

The verdict, delivered after nearly seven weeks of trial and testimony from 34 witnesses, cleared Combs of the most serious allegations brought against him by ex-partner Casandra Ventura and another woman identified only as “Jane.”

According to court documents, the jury acquitted Combs of racketeering and sex trafficking but found him guilty of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution, charges that can carry up to 10 years in prison, although a lesser sentence is possible under federal guidelines.

During the trial, jurors heard extensive testimony from former girlfriends, male escorts, ex-employees, and federal agents who recounted details of Combs’ private conduct and business dealings.

Despite his partial acquittal, the judge denied Combs’ request for bail, citing concerns that he could be a flight risk or attempt to interfere with witnesses before sentencing.

Combs’ entire family, including his children and mother, attended court daily over the seven-week proceedings to support him.

Diddy is expected to return to court for sentencing within the next 90 days.
