Kampala, Uganda: Kampala Queens delivered their biggest win in club history after thrashing Asubo Ladies 8-0 on Saturday at MTN-Omondi Stadium in the FUFA Women Super League.
The Queens of Soccer bounced back emphatically from last weekend’s slip against Rines, dominating from start to finish against bottom-placed Asubo to keep their title hopes alive.
New signings Loyce Komugisha and Rinah Ariho each scored their first goals for the club. Marion Amangat and Patience Nabuloobi also opened their scoring accounts in Kampala Queens colours. Zaitun Namaganda bagged a brace, Catherine Nagadya added another, while an own goal from Asubo completed the 8-0 rout.

The victory lifts Kampala Queens to 25 points in third place, seven behind joint leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and She Corporate FC, who also registered wins.
Asubo Ladies remain rooted at the bottom with four points and are still searching for their first victory of the season.
Kawempe, She Corporate Stay Top
Kawempe Muslim maintained their push at the summit with a 3-0 home win over Uganda Martyrs, courtesy of goals from Asia Nakibuuka, Krusum Namutebi and captain Agnes Nabukenya.
She Corporate secured a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Amus College, with new signing Sumaya Komuntale netting the decisive goal in the 85th minute.
Both Kawempe and She Corporate are level on 32 points, but Kawempe stay top due to a superior head-to-head record.
Elsewhere, Lady Doves edged She Maroons 1-0, Rines defeated Olila High School 4-1, and St Noa Girls overcame Makerere University 3-2 in an entertaining encounter.
Kawempe Muslim next travel to Luzira to face She Maroons, while She Corporate host Lady Doves at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru as the title race gathers pace.
