2021 ELECTION WATCH: With only 11 days left for Uganda to go the polls, The National Unity Platform presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has launched an application dubbed the ‘UVote App’ which will mainly act as the party’s watchdog for the elections on the voting day.
The ‘UVote app’ was launched by H.E. Bobi Wine while delivering his End of Year Message on Saturday evening.
The UVote App, a digital monitoring application will help users to record and monitor election results countrywide during the encroaching polls slated for January 14.
The App also users tally voting results and report anything suspicious around their polling stations to help curb instances of vote rigging in the 2021 General Elections.
The presidential hopeful Kyagulanyi called on NUP agents have been urged to take photos of declaration forms at all polling stations and upload them on the Application for easy tallying.
“We know that the regime is planning a lockdown, cut off Internet, mobile money services, massive arrests, and cut off electricity. The regime has planned a tally center in Mbuya barracks and Nakasongola to rig the elections,” Said Bobi Wine.
The App will be availed on Google play store in a few days time and will be free from the social media tax.
