Relief for Uganda as COVID-19 daily cases drastically reduce

KAMPALA – Uganda’s battle against Covid-19 seems to be on drastic decline as daily cases have continually decreased the past few days according to the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry on Monday announced that Uganda had registered only 66 new COVID-19 cases and only 1 death the past 24 hours.

In a statement issued by the Minstry on Facebook, the breakdown of the new cases as follows: 65 contacts and alerts: Kampala 32 Butaleja 8 Soroti 12 Jinja 3 Tororo 3 Kitgum 2 Bukedea 1 Wakiso 3 Mukono 1

One Truck driver from Malaba point of entry tested positive.

To date Uganda has registered 37,808 Cumulative confirmed cases, 302 deaths and 12,942 recoveries all out of 786,510 total samples tested.
