MOYO, UGANDA: Police in Moyo is investigating the senior probation and social welfare officer at Moyo district local government Ameko Jimmy in connection to allegations of aggravated torture.

The cruel probation officer identified as Ameko Jimmy was arrested on Saturday 18, 2021, and grilled for several hours before being granted police bond pending the perusal of the file by the resident state attorney.

Ameko allegedly ordered and participated in the torture of Paruku Musa aged 38, a resident of Cele-Celea West, and 34 years old Sabir Toha, a resident of Cele-Celea East, in Moyo town council.

The two victims who were accused of stealing a laptop computer of the probation officer were tricked and invited to spot 5, a drinking joint in Edua village Moyo town, that would later turn into a torture chamber.

The victims today, December 20, 2021, testified that when they arrived at the bar, the suspect Ameko Jimmy, hastily and intimidatingly ordered them to produce the laptop, but they expressed innocence.

The probation officer, Ameko Jimmy, who was pacing up and down and grinding his teeth like a roaring lion, wickedly ordered his torturer machines to strip them naked, they picked two healthy baked bricks tied with strings and connected to their testicles.

The decimated and frail-looking victims further narrate they were then forced to stand straight as the heavy bricks dangles on the testicles from the ground.

“Still with the bricks sagging on our testicles; we were enforced to rise and drag the bricks on the grounds and walk across the bar, as we cried and groaned in agony upon the pain but our tormentors laughed and mocked us”.

The probation officer then took the torture to level two, where he plucked out several pieces of flesh from the buttocks of the young boys using pliers and smeared a liquid of fresh hot chilly mixed with dirty water to their anguish and humiliation.

Still, the victims denied having stolen, the unrelenting probation officer finally started plucking the fingernails of one of the victims, before they were rescued by, good Samaritans.

The victims were rushed to Moyo hospital where they received treatment and a police form 3[PF3] dated December 12, 2021, was issued to the victims.

The parents of the victims have filed a case at Moyo central police station under special diary[SD]reference 473,2021, and the charge of aggravated torture has been preferred against the probation officer Ameko Jimmy.

Abale Malik, the parent of the victims has said, the probation officer who acted without any human face and heart wants to purportedly show remorse and wants the matter settled out of court, but his plea has fallen short and justice must prevail.
